Inside Iberia’s New A350 Business Class — Full Look at the New Suite, Features & Routes
A New Era for Iberia’s Flagship A350
Spanish flag carrier Iberia has unveiled its brand-new Business Class cabin aboard the latest generation of Airbus A350 aircraft — and it’s easily the airline’s most impressive cabin yet.
The new A350, sometimes called the “A350 Next”, brings fully enclosed suites, massive 4K screens, USB-C and wireless charging, and a softer, warmer design inspired by Spain’s natural light and modern architecture.
Iberia’s goal is simple: to offer a truly world-class product for long-haul travelers connecting Madrid with Latin America, North America, and Asia.

A Completely Redesigned Cabin
Step onboard and you immediately notice the difference. The cabin is arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, ensuring direct aisle access for every passenger.
Each seat is part of the Recaro CL6720 suite, Iberia’s first to include sliding privacy doors. The design blends soft beige and terracotta tones, wooden finishes, and gentle LED lighting — giving a distinctly Spanish atmosphere that feels both premium and welcoming.
Overhead bins are slightly larger, and the aircraft’s new environmental systems make the cabin quieter and more comfortable than before.

Privacy, Space, and Comfort
The new Business Class seat converts into a completely lie-flat bed over two meters long. Passengers will find plenty of storage, a personal reading lamp, and a revised seat control panel that’s easier to use.
Tech lovers will appreciate the 18-inch 4K touchscreen, Bluetooth audio pairing, and multiple charging options — USB-A, USB-C, and wireless. A new Do Not Disturb mode and adjustable lighting help create a personalized environment during long flights.
It’s clear Iberia wanted to compete directly with the latest Business Class suites from Air France, KLM, and British Airways — and they’ve done it with a uniquely Iberian flair.

Dining with a Spanish Touch
Catering remains one of Iberia’s strongest points. Meals in the new cabin are presented on elegant porcelain, paired with Spanish wines and olive oils, and inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
Expect options like Iberian ham, tapas-style starters, and desserts created by Spanish chefs. Service is friendly and unpretentious — exactly the type of hospitality Iberia has been refining in recent years.

Entertainment & Connectivity
The new 4K screen features a faster interface, multiple language options, and hundreds of movies and TV series. Bluetooth support allows you to use your own headphones, and onboard Wi-Fi now offers improved speed and simple flat-rate packages for messaging or streaming.
Passengers can also follow the flight path in stunning detail with the new 3D map — a feature fans of long-haul routes like Madrid–Lima, Buenos Aires, or Mexico City will love.

Routes and Fleet Rollout
Iberia’s first A350 with the new Business Class was registered EC-NVA “Teresa Helbig”. Currently 9 of the 23 A350’s are retrofitted. The airline plans to retrofit or introduce more A350s with this new cabin, but has not given exact dates.
These are Iberia’s Retrofitted A350’s:
- EC-OOL
- EC-OFM
- EC-OES
- EC-OCR
- EC-OAY
- EC-NXC
- EC-NXD
- EC-NXE
- EC-NVR
The A350’s with the new business class usually fly from Madrid (MAD) to key Latin American destinations such as, Mexico City (MEX), Buenos Aires (EZE), and Bogotá (BOG). But there is a good chance you might end up on one of them if you fly to Lima, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo and Tokyo as well.
How to Know If You’re Getting the New A350 Cabin
If you’re booking an upcoming Iberia long-haul flight and want to know whether you’ll get the new A350 Business Class, there’s a simple trick.
👉 Check the seat map during booking.
In the new A350 Next configuration, the Premium Economy cabin has 3 rows in the middle section instead of 2. That’s the easiest clue that you’re looking at Iberia’s brand-new aircraft layout.
So:
- Old A350: 2 rows in the middle section of Premium Economy.
- New A350 Next: 3 middle rows — this means new Business Class with privacy doors.
Experience It for Yourself
If you’re flying long-haul from Madrid soon, there’s a good chance you’ll experience Iberia’s new flagship A350. The upgrade represents a significant leap forward — one that finally places Iberia among the world’s best business-class products.
