Iberia is set to expand its network with some exciting new destinations in 2025 and 2026:
- Orlando, Florida: Beginning October 26, 2025, Iberia will launch four weekly flights operated by the Airbus A330. This route is clearly aimed at families and leisure travelers heading to Walt Disney World and other Central Florida attractions.
- Recife, Brazil: From December 13, 2025, Iberia will add Recife to its network.
- Fortaleza, Brazil: Just a month later, from January 19, 2026, Iberia will begin flights to Fortaleza, initially a few times per week but quickly building up to five weekly services by February.
What makes the Brazilian expansion particularly interesting is that both Recife and Fortaleza will be operated by Iberia’s brand-new Airbus A321XLR. This aircraft is designed for long thin routes of up to 10–11 hours, giving Iberia the flexibility to serve destinations that could not sustain a widebody. It’s a great showcase of how the XLR will transform Iberia’s Latin American strategy.
