Which Iberia Business Class Seat Is Best?
If you’re booking Iberia Business Class, here’s the truth: the experience changes a lot depending on which seat version you get. I’ve flown (and photographed) all of them, and in this guide I’m comparing Iberia’s current Business Class seats in the most practical way possible: what the cabin feels like, which seats I’d pick, and the hard specs (bed, screen, charging) that actually matter on a long-haul flight.
Quick answer: my ranking
- Best overall (privacy + wow factor): A350 Next Business Class (door suites)
- Best for “space/width” feel: Standard A350 Business Class
- Best if it’s significantly cheaper (still comfy flat bed): A330 Business Class
- Most “future of point-to-point long haul” vibe: A321XLR Business Class (1-1 suites, 4K screen)

My seat-picking rule on Iberia (works on the widebodies)
This is how I pick seats when I don’t want surprises:
- Best seat traveling solo: 2A
Food is usually served sooner up front, there’s less chance the preferred main option “runs out,” and you’re close to the window. - Best seats traveling as a couple (widebodies): 3E + 3G
They’re the closest “together” seats in the center section.
Now, let’s go cabin by cabin.

#1 Iberia A350 Next Business Class (New Generation A350) — 1-2-1
This is Iberia’s showpiece: a suite with a door, and in my opinion it’s the only Iberia Business cabin that feels fully “next-gen” the moment you step onboard.

What it feels like (my take)
Warmer, more modern, more premium than every other Iberia cabin right now.
Seat model / producer
Iberia’s A350 Next uses the RECARO CL6720 Business Class seat with sliding doors.

Screen, charging, bed (what to expect)
- Screen: 18.5-inch 4K
- Charging: reviews consistently show universal power, and at least USB-C (some aircraft also show USB-A alongside USB-C in the suite area).
- Bed: RECARO states a 79-inch full-flat bed on CL6720.

Best seats (my picks)
- Solo: 2A
- Couple: 3E + 3G (close together)
Pros
- Suite with privacy doors + genuinely modern look
Cons
- The seat can feel slightly narrower than the regular A350 seat (the trade-off for the suite shell + door).
All Iberia A350 Next aircraft (your list)
EC-NVR, EC-NXC, EC-NXD, EC-NXE, EC-OAY, EC-OCR, EC-OES, EC-OFM, EC-OOL
Where I most often see it
Often operated on flights to Mexico, Colombia and Argentina (aircraft swaps can happen anytime).

#2 Iberia A350 Business Class (standard) — 1-2-1
This is the “classic Iberia A350” seat. It’s not as private as A350 Next, but it often wins on open feeling and width.

Screen, charging, bed
- Screen: 18.5-inch
- Bed: Iberia’s long-haul Business is up to 2 metres
- Charging: Iberia’s long-haul Business seats support device charging; across the fleet you should expect universal power + USB (USB-C is most consistently highlighted on the newest products).

Best seats
- Solo: 2A
- Couple: 3E + 3G
Pros
- Great width / more airy feel
Cons
- Less privacy than A350 Next (no door)

#3 Iberia A350 (ex-Hainan) Business Class — 1-2-1
These A350s feel like a different “version” in the fleet: comfortable and wide, but not as modern in look and privacy as A350 Next. You will often see this configuration on flights to Lima and London.

Aircraft with this config
- EC-OAV
- EC-OAX
Screen, charging, bed
- Screen: 18.5-inch
- Bed: up to 2 metres (Iberia long-haul Business baseline)
- Charging: expect universal power + USB (fleet standard)

Best seats
- Solo: 2A
- Couple: 3E + 3G
Pros
- Great width
Cons
- Less privacy + less modern look

#4 Iberia A330 Business Class — 1-2-1
The A330 is still a proper long-haul Business seat with direct aisle access, but compared to the A350 Next it feels more “classic” in design.

Screen, charging, bed
- Screen: 15.4-inch
- Bed: up to 2 metres
- Charging: You will have universal power outlet + USB at the seat (plus remote/controls nearby).

Best seats
- Solo: 2A
- Couple: 3E + 3G
Pros
- Great width
Cons
- Less privacy + less modern look than A350 Next
Where I often see the A330 operated
Often on flights to the US, Central America, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, Caracas, Buenos Aires (sometimes), Lima (sometimes), and Guayaquil.

#5 Iberia A321XLR Business Class — 1-1
In many ways this is the future of point-to-point long haul. A narrowbody is criticized by many (often for good reasons), but Iberia’s A321XLR Business cabin looks stunning — and you really do get that “suite” feeling once you sit down.

What it feels like (my take)
Yes, it’s a smaller aircraft and you’ll feel slightly more cramped in the overall cabin… but the seat itself is wide enough, the bed is long, and it genuinely feels like your own space.
Screen, charging, tech
- Screen: 18.5-inch 4K (Panasonic system, also widely reported)
- Charging: USB-A + USB-C (Iberia confirms), and hands-on coverage confirms universal power.
- Bluetooth audio: supported on the aircraft (Iberia)

Best seat strategy (my advice)
There are no couple seats next to each other (the aisle runs through the cabin). Because there’s only one aisle and a smaller galley, food service can take longer — so I recommend choosing seats toward the front to finish service earlier and protect sleep.
Pros
- Suite-like feeling after boarding + guaranteed window seat vibe (every seat is window-adjacent in practice)
Cons
- All passengers board through the Business cabin on many single-aisle layouts
- No couple seats
Where it operates (your list)
New York, Boston, Toronto, Fortaleza, Recife, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo
