British Airways Galleries Lounge Review (London Heathrow LHR Terminal 3)
Opening hours: 05:00–22:00 (daily).
Where it is: Heathrow Terminal 3, Lounge Zone F (follow signs for the lounge area).
Who has access (Galleries Club):
- Flying First, Club World, or Club Europe
- British Airways Club: Gold or Silver (with guest)
- oneworld: Emerald or Sapphire (with guest)
- AerClub Platinum/Concierge (with guest) on eligible transatlantic itineraries (per BA rules)
Also in the same complex: there’s a Galleries First section with stricter access rules (e.g., BA Gold / oneworld Emerald / First).
If you’re departing from LHR Terminal 3 on a oneworld flight, the BA Galleries lounges are the “safe, reliable” choice: plenty of seating zones, a solid buffet, and the kind of setup that works whether you want to eat, do some laptop time, or just get out of the terminal noise. BA has also been refreshing elements of the space (seating, power points, furniture), which helps it feel less dated than it used to.

Layout & atmosphere
The Galleries Lounge sits in Zone F, down the corridor where many of T3’s lounges live. The best way to “win” this lounge is simple: don’t stop at the first open seat. Walk a little, scan the zones, and choose based on what you’re doing:
- For working: aim for quieter pockets and seats near power (BA has been upgrading power availability as part of its lounge refresh).
- For relaxing: pick softer lounge seating away from the main buffet traffic flow.
- For views: you’ll find window-side spots, but they can fill up quickly at peak times (especially pre-evening departures).
Crowd feel: It’s a popular lounge, but because it’s sizeable (and split into different sections/areas), it can feel more manageable than you’d expect—especially if you move beyond the entrance zones.

Food & drink
This is a buffet-first lounge: you can build a quick plate, grab snacks, and settle in without waiting for table service. Independent reviews commonly note a spread that’s “perfectly fine” for a business lounge, with BA-leaning comfort options (and typically a curry-style hot option often mentioned by frequent flyers).
Drinks: expect self-serve soft drinks, wines and spirits; it’s designed to be efficient rather than boutique (i.e., more “help yourself” than craft cocktail theatre). What’s REALLY COOL here is the hot dog stand!
Best strategy: eat a real meal here if your flight timing suits it—but if you’re a “coffee + light bite” person, the lounge works well for that too.

Facilities
Showers: Available, and commonly described as shared between the Club and First areas (access/availability can vary with crowding).
Wi-Fi: Free throughout the lounge; performance can vary depending on time of day and load.
Business features: A business centre / work-oriented setup is noted in reviews, plus plenty of flight info screens.
Families: A kids/play area is reported in multiple reviews—useful if you’re travelling with children and want them to burn off energy before boarding.
Verdict
If you want a dependable lounge in Heathrow T3, BA’s Galleries Club is a strong “default pick”: it covers the basics well (food, seating zones, Wi-Fi, showers), and it’s easy to use even if you’re only popping in for 30–60 minutes.
Best for: a quick meal + reset, getting work done before a flight, families (kids area).
Consider alternatives if: you’re lounge-hopping in T3 and want a more “premium” experience—Terminal 3 is famous for having multiple top-tier oneworld lounge options depending on your access.
