Air France to Increase Lima–Paris Flights

Airline News

Air France has announced a major boost to its operations in Peru, confirming that it will increase the number of flights between Lima and Paris beginning in August 2025. The move comes in response to strong passenger demand and reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthening connectivity between South America and Europe.

From August 4, 2025, the Lima–Paris route will expand from seven to nine weekly flights, before rising again to ten weekly services in September and October. This marks the first time Air France has expanded beyond its daily schedule since launching the route in 2011.

In 2024 alone, more than 222,000 passengers traveled with Air France between the Peruvian capital and Paris, making it one of the carrier’s most dynamic South American markets. The new frequencies are expected to provide travelers with greater flexibility, while also supporting tourism, business, and cultural ties between both countries.

The airline plans to operate the additional flights using its modern Airbus A350-900s and Boeing 777s, offering passengers state-of-the-art cabins and improved fuel efficiency. Overall, the added services will represent a 30% increase in capacity compared to the previous year.

According to Claudia Ruaro, Air France’s Commercial Manager in Peru, the decision highlights the company’s long-term vision: “This increase is a clear sign of our confidence in Peru as a strategic market. More flights mean more opportunities for connectivity, and we are proud to expand the bridge between Lima and Paris for our passengers.”

Air France has also underlined that the growth in frequencies is aligned with its sustainability strategy, which includes fleet renewal, operational efficiency, and the progressive use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

With these additional flights, Air France not only consolidates its presence in Latin America but also reinforces its role as a leading transatlantic carrier. The increase in service will remain in place until at least October 2025, offering travelers more options than ever before to connect Peru with France and beyond.
